We are committed to protecting your privacy
We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of the platform’s clients and users, which is why we have prepared this Cookie Policy. In this policy, we explain how cookies and other similar technologies are used, and we recommend that you read it.
This policy has been prepared in accordance with regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and taking into account the guidance of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on storage and access technologies.

2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your device when you visit an online platform. They are used to record certain interactions during browsing on that platform and to store data that can be updated and retrieved, for example, user settings and preferences.
3. What are cookies for?
OfficeLex will store cookies on your device in order to provide you with a better browsing experience. These cookies make it possible to personalise and make browsing as easy as possible, and are also useful to us for troubleshooting, statistics, quality assurance and monitoring system security.
You may, at any time, delete or block these cookies, although doing so may mean that some features of this platform do not work as intended.
Cookies are not used for any purposes other than those described here.
4. Types of cookies
The cookies on our platform are used for different purposes but, in general, their use can be divided into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary or functional cookies: these are cookies that are essential for the normal operation of the platform and for all the services you request, such as navigation or access to the page. Without them, the platform may not work properly. They do not require your consent under PECR.
- Performance or statistical cookies: these are cookies that provide statistical information about the use of the platform, that is, web analytics, helping us understand how users interact with it. Where used solely for statistical purposes to improve the service, they may be used without consent, provided you are given clear information and a simple, free means of objecting.
- Targeting/advertising cookies: these are cookies used to personalise advertising content that may be of interest to the user. These always require your prior consent.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may also be stored by third parties other than OfficeLex.
These third parties are service providers and, although OfficeLex makes every effort to use only service providers that provide guarantees of appropriate technical and organisational measures in line with the requirements of relevant data protection legislation, the User understands that OfficeLex is not responsible for the content and accuracy of the privacy and cookie policies of these third parties.
In Section 7 you will find a description of all the cookies used.
6. How do we use cookies?
Except for cookies specifically necessary for the operation of the platform, and those covered by the other exceptions in PECR, the storage of other cookies will always depend on your acceptance and consent, which may be withdrawn at any time through specific browser tools.
Where the user does not consent to the use of cookies, we will only use the cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the platform.
Where we use cookies that do not require consent because they serve a statistical purpose or are used to adapt the appearance or functionality of the platform to your choices, you may object to their use at any time, free of charge and in a simple way, by blocking or deleting them in your browser settings or by contacting us at support@officelex.com.
